The recently released trailer for Rajinikanth’s Coolie has taken the internet by storm, instantly igniting a wave of excitement among fans. Coolie follows the gripping story of Deva, portrayed by the legendary Rajinikanth. Once a notorious gold smuggler, Deva now seeks to reclaim his lost glory. To do so, he reunites his former gang and embarks on a daring mission involving stolen technology cleverly hidden inside vintage golden watches. However, as the plan unfolds, it leads to a series of unexpected and dangerous consequences, pushing Deva into a high-stakes battle where power, loyalty, and redemption collided.
With emotionally charged scenes, gritty action, and Rajinikanth’s charismatic screen presence, Coolie promises to be more than just an action film.
Is Coolie Part of LCU Universe?
Interestingly, speculation is swirling that “Coolie” could be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). However, in a recent conversation with Bharadwaj Rangan, director Lokesh Kanagaraj clarified that Coolie is a completely standalone project and is not linked in any way to his established cinematic universe, unlike his earlier film Vikram starring Kamal Haasan.
Advance booking for Coolie has already opened in selected countries, including Malaysia, especially for special fan premieres. In Malaysia, key cinema chains like TGV have opened early access shows and they are selling fast.
